What makes Nolan's Nest a unique and wonderful place for children to learn, play, and grow compared to other options?

What makes Nolan’s Nest truly unique is the intentional way faith, care, and early childhood development come together in everything we do. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to childcare. Instead, we focus on creating meaningful experiences that honor each child’s individuality, pace of development, and God-given potential. Our program is designed to go beyond basic supervision by offering a balanced blend of structured learning, guided play, and nurturing relationships. Children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, build confidence, and develop independence in an environment that feels joyful, secure, and supportive. Another thing that sets Nolan’s Nest apart is our commitment to partnership with families. We value open communication, consistency, and trust, and we work closely with parents to support each child’s growth both inside and outside the classroom. At Nolan’s Nest, learning happens through connection—between children and caregivers, families and staff, and faith and daily experiences. This thoughtful, loving approach creates a place where children don’t just attend daycare, but truly learn, play, and grow in a way that prepares them for the next stage of life.

What can parents and children expect a typical day to be like? What kind of fun and learning activities do you offer?

A typical day at Nolan’s Nest is filled with joyful moments, meaningful routines, and opportunities for children to learn through play and discovery. Each day is thoughtfully structured to provide children with a sense of comfort and predictability, while still leaving plenty of room for fun, creativity, and exploration. Children can expect a balance of hands-on learning activities, imaginative play, music and movement, art projects, story time, and group experiences that encourage curiosity and connection. Activities are designed to match each child’s age and developmental stage, helping them build early academic skills, social confidence, and independence in natural, engaging ways. Movement is an important part of every day, whether it’s active play indoors during colder months, gross motor activities for our youngest learners, or opportunities for children to stretch, climb, dance, and play together. These moments help children strengthen their bodies while also learning teamwork and self-control. Throughout the day, children are supported by caring teachers who guide learning with patience, encouragement, and faith-based values. From laughter during playtime to quiet moments of rest and reflection, each day at Nolan’s Nest is designed to help children feel happy, confident, and excited to come back the next day.

What are the most common questions parents ask about things like enrolling their child, tuition, schedules, or communicating with teachers?

How do we enroll our child?

Parents often ask about the first steps to enrollment, what paperwork is required, and how to secure a spot for their child. We guide families through the process in person and are happy to answer questions along the way to make enrollment simple and stress-free.

What does tuition include? Are there additional fees?

Families frequently ask about weekly tuition and what is included. Parents also want to know about registration and annual supply fees and how those fees help support their child’s daily care and classroom experience. Our current weekly tuition is $250 for 6 weeks - 23 months, $225 for 2-3 year olds (potty trained) or $240 (not potty trained), and $200 for 4-5 year olds. We offer a 15% discount for siblings residing in the same home.

What does a typical day look like?

Parents like to understand daily routines, how learning and play are balanced, and how schedules are structured for each age group. Our days include a mix of learning activities, creative play, movement, rest, and faith-based values woven naturally throughout the day.

Are meals and snacks provided?

For toddlers through Pre-K, we provide breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack each day. This helps support children’s growth and makes daily planning easier for families.

How do you communicate with parents?

Parents often ask how they’ll stay informed about their child’s day, progress, and any updates. We value open, ongoing communication and encourage strong partnerships between families and teachers.  We try to keep parents in the loop of how their little one is doing, with PictureMail.  Parents are also welcome to text and check on their child at any time.

How do you support children of different ages?

Families want to know how we meet the needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (from 6 weeks to 5 years old). Our program is designed with age-appropriate routines, activities, and spaces that support each stage of development, with class sizes meeting or exceeding Tennessee state licensing requirements.
